How do I submit written comments to the City Commission if I can't be at the meeting?

Send the written comments to Cora Pritt, City Clerk, 106 1st ST East, Polson Mt 59860, or deliver to City Hall, or through email at cityclerk@cityofpolson.com any comment needs to be submitted by 12.00 PM on the Thursday before the meeting.

Can I pay my bill over the phone?

No, we can not take payments over the phone. However, we do offer an online payment option in the Online Bill Pay on the main page.

Do you offer automatic Payment withdrawal?

Yes, There is a short form to fill out and return to the Utilities Clerk with a voided check. Your payment will be automatically processed from the account provided, on the 15th of every month.

Fine payments can be paid by cash, check or money orders. You may pay online with a credit/debit card using the City Court Online Payments portal.

How do I pay my Water and Sewer bill?

You can pay your bill at City Hall during hours of operation, via check, cash, or card. For after hours you can utilize the drop-box located to the Right of the main entrance of City Hall. You can also utilize our Online Bill Pay option.

How do I put the account in my name? (renter responsible for utilities)

The account stays in the homeowners name, we can add the renter as a tenant and they will receive a bill as well. Please contact City Hall for more information 406-883-8200 or stop in at 106 1st street East, Polson mt. 59860.

How do I report an ongoing issue in my neighborhood such as speeding or suspected drug activity?

Call the non-emergency dispatch number, (406) 883–7301, and request to speak with an officer.

I’m a retired law enforcement officer. Does the PPD have an annual Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) qualification?

Yes, usually in the Spring.  Please contact the Police Clerk for a current date, (406) 883-8211.

Do the search results include the contents of PDFs and other documents?

Yes.  The website indexes web pages as well as PDFs, Microsoft Office documents, and text documents.

If I search for a phrase (e.g. alarm permit), will the results only show exact matches?

No.  By default, the search results will show matches for any word within the phrase.  In this example, you would receive results for all web pages and documents that contained either the word alarm or the word permit or both.

In order to search on an exact phrase, enclose your search phrase in quotations.  The search results for "alarm permit" will show matches for that exact phrase.

Can I exclude a word from a search (e.g. all pages that have the word "alarm" but not the word "permit"?

Yes.   You can exclude words by using the minus sign (-).   In order to find the results of all pages that have alarm in the result but not permit, you would search for alarm -permit.
